Gift Aisha Eleojo Ibrahim, also known by her stage name Aisha Ibrahim, is a young, vivacious Nigerian actress, comedian, and social media personality.
Aisha was born on November 28 in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria; however, she is originally from Kogi State.
Career
She has had aspirations of becoming an actress since she was very young. She was the first child and only daughter born to her parents.
Growing up in Jenta Mangoro, Jos, Plateau State, Aisha was fond of telling her mother whenever they watched a movie together that the characters in the film were her people and that she would become like them.
She began her acting career in the church, participating in a series of church dramas without ever having attended acting school.
In 2015, while watching a film, Aisha spotted a number of advertisements soliciting applications from aspiring actors and actresses.
She jotted down the contact information and later gave it a shot.
When she called the director, she was asked to visit the company in Imo State for a shoot. This was a bold and risky move, as she did not know anyone in the area and it would require her to travel to another state.
The application “Registration Money” required a certain amount, which the director requested she bring with her on the set.
Aisha, whose mother was frightened since she knew no one in the Eastern State, took the risk anyhow.
There, she made many new acquaintances and met many individuals with similar goals.
Since then, she has been receiving calls for movie roles and, despite the hurdles, has become a household name and an inspiration for aspiring actors.
