South African actress and singer Nandi Madida has joined Apple Music as the new host of Africa Now Radio on Apple Music 1. Now in its fourth season, Africa Now Radio is Apple Music’s first global African music radio show, featuring exclusive interviews with some of Africa’s biggest stars.

Throughout its run, Africa Now Radio has showcased over 130 cover stars, premiered more than 650 new releases, and introduced Apple Music subscribers worldwide to over 130 of Africa’s emerging artists. The show covers a wide range of African music genres, including Amapiano, Afrobeats, highlife, Alte, house, hip-hop, bongo flava, and kuduro.
Nandi Madida is thrilled to be a part of Africa Now Radio, expressing her gratitude for witnessing Africa receiving the recognition it deserves in the music industry. She aims to celebrate Pan-Africanism and showcase the diverse talent from the continent to Apple Music 1’s global audience.
The second season of Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida will air weekly on Fridays, starting from June 2, with broadcast times of 2 PM Lagos/London, 3 PM Johannesburg/Paris, 6 AM LA, and 9 AM NYC. In Nigeria, the show will also be broadcast on Cool FM every Sunday at 6 PM.
