Brett Somers, born Audrey Dawn Johnston on July 11, 1924, was a Canadian-American performer, musician, actor, and game-show host. She was most known for her appearances as a specialist on the CBS game show “Match Game” and as Blanche Madison in the television series “The Odd Couple.”
She was also well known for portraying Siress Belloby in the television series Battlestar Galactica. Brett Somers also worked on a few additional small-screen films. Her other television works include, for instance, “Love,” “The Defenders,” “Ben Casey,” “The Love Boat,” “The Fugitive,” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”
She began her career in theater, performing in “Possibly Tuesday,” “The Seven Year Itch,” “Cheerful Ending,” and “The Country Girl.” The Canadian-American performer had also appeared in a few films, such as “Transport Riley’s Back Around” and “A Rage to Live.”
