Former US President Barack Obama has included songs by Nigerian musicians Burna Boy and Ayra Starr in his 2023 summer playlist.
Burna Boy’s “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” featuring 21 Savage and Ayra Starr’s “Sability” are the two afrobeats tracks featured on the list. Obama shared the playlist on his Twitter handle, expressing his annual tradition of sharing songs he’s been listening to during the summer. In the past, Nigerian artists Wizkid, Tems, and Rema have also been featured on President Obama’s summer playlists.
