Crown Uzama, also known as Shallipopi, is a young musician who has shared how his hunger spurred him to pursue a career in music.
Shallipopi claimed that he once drank garri for ten days straight because he was so broke, and it was during that period that he started to think back on his life.
The “Garri” singer made this statement during a recent Turntable podcast conversation with hip-hop musician Odumodublck.
Odumodu asked about the horrific incident that had place before to his ascent to stardom, which motivated him to use all available methods to succeed.
Shallipopi responded by saying that after drinking garri for ten days straight, he realized he needed to work hard to succeed in life.
“Make you just taste garri for like 10 straight days, then you go rethink your life. You go blow by force,” the 23-year-old singer said.
