Renowned Nigerian musician David Adeleke, known as Davido, recently shared the inspiration behind his extravagant Frog chain in an interview with GQ, where he showcased his luxurious jewelry collection.
Davido, a prominent figure in the Afrobeats genre, explained that the idea for the unique Frog chain stemmed from past trolling about his hoarse voice, often likened to that of a frog. Instead of letting it affect him negatively, he chose to turn it into a positive and creative expression through his jewelry.
During the interview, as he flaunted his impressive collection, Davido offered a piece of advice to others, urging them to be mindful not to exceed their financial means when purchasing jewelry.
Davido believes the beauty of a jewelry is in the way you rock it and not necessarily the amount it’s worth.
