Gibson Makanda Biography
Some South Africans claimed that Makhanda Gibson Makanda was the imposter Nelson Mandela who replaced him after his death as a protest against apartheid in South Africa.
A second group of individuals claimed that the real Nelson Mandela perished during his house detention on Robben Island in the 1980s.
South Africans think Gibson Makanda was the clone that replaced Nelson Mandela, and that he was the one who negotiated the transition of South Africa from an apartheid government to a full democracy in which candidates of any race can run for office.
Logic behind this conspiracy hypothesis
People assert that the military and paramilitary responded to anti-Apartheid protestors in South Africa with little regard for human life.
They employed vicious dogs, firearms, tear gas, and other deadly methods to subdue protesters.
As a result, one group of conspiracy theorists believes that Nelson Mandela must have been murdered during a protest and that the South African government gave them a clone to prevent another protest and march in response to the murder of their beloved leader.
The replacement of Nelson Mandela by Makhanda Gibson Makanda, according to another group of South Africans, precipitated the divorce of Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela soon after his return from Robben Island.
They assert that Winnie would have found out quickly and prevented their separation as soon as he was released from prison.

A Twitter user, @Jether Calypso, utilized a youthful available image of Nelson Mandela and altered it using the old age effect, producing a result that was distinct from the image of Mandela in his final years before his death.
His tweets were titled ‘It wasn’t me’ and received a variety of responses from the general public and South African Twitter users.
