Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, has addressed the alleged beef between him and singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba. He clarified that he never snubbed 2Baba at a club in London and emphasized that he would not have done so, as he is a big fan of the singer.
Reports had circulated about Mikel snubbing 2Baba at a London club in the past, which supposedly led to 2Baba’s release of the hit track “Only Me” in 2010. However, 2Baba had previously dispelled these rumors in a 2016 interview, stating that the song was not a diss track and that he had spoken with Mikel about the matter, resulting in a good laugh between them.
Recently, a social media user asked Mikel about the alleged incident, inquiring whether he truly snubbed 2Baba at the club. Mikel responded with a clear denial, stating, “No, I never did. I’m a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing. Have a lovely day.”
Mikel’s response puts an end to the lingering speculation and reaffirms his admiration for 2Baba, dispelling any notions of animosity between the two.
