Murda Beatz was born on February 11, 1994, in Ontario, Canada. In fact, he grew up in Fort Erie. He moved to Chicago when he was 18 years old.
He comes from a musical family and has played drums in the past. His parents instilled in him an appreciation for rock music, and he grew up listening to it regularly. He was urged by his dad to pick up the guitar, but he ended up being more of a drummer. Murda Beatz completed her secondary education at Forte Eerie Secondary School.

When he was very young, he took an interest in music and learned to play the drums. As a 17-year-old, he started using FL Studio to create electronic music.
As a producer, his first break came when he collaborated with Soulja Boy on a remix of the song Rocky Diamond. He became famous after making guest appearances on songs by Mustard and DJ Khaled.
His first mixtape, Keep God First, was published in December of 2016. His debut solo track, Shopping Spree (with Lil Pump and Sheck Wes), was released in 2019. Adam Halliday was the first artist to sign with his newly launched record company, Murda Beatz Recordings, which he announced the same year.
His second single, Banana Split, featuring YNW Melly and Lil Durk, was released in March of 2020. Drake, Miley Cyrus, Gucci Mane, Future, Young Scooter, Migos, and many other artists have used his beats in their own projects.
