Crayon is a musician renowned for fusing many musical styles to create a fresh take on afro-beat.
He is one of the brand-new musicians BlowTime Entertainment, a division of the Mavin records label, has signed on. In May 2019, he joined Don Jazzy’s record company.
Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known by his stage name Crayon, is a popular Nigerian Afropop musician who is 21 years old and on the rise.
The singer from Ebonyi State, Crayon, was born on November 21, 2000, in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. He is currently signed to Mavins Record’s Blowtime Entertainment imprint.
Crayon began his musical journey in 2008 while honing his craft. He later met with record producer Ozedikus, who had previously worked on Rema’s “Corny” and other songs.
Crayon was discovered on May 25, 2019, by Baby Fresh, a producer for Mavin Records, who recognized the singer’s potential and instantly signed him to “BlowTime Entertainment,” an imprint of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
The Mavins’ all-stars song “All Is In Order,” which also included DNA, Rema, Don Jazzy, and Korede Bello, had him as a featured artist.
On “Based On Kpa,” which caused a stir and had a lot of airtime, he was also featured by Ladipoe.
Crayon released “Cray Cray,” a six-track EP project, as his first official project under Blowtime Entertainment/Mavin Records on July 12, 2019.
Clarence Peter shot and directed the music video for the song “So Fine” from the project.
