Chukwuka Ekweani was born in the northern-western Nigerian state of Kaduna. He is of Igbo descent from the state of Anambra. His passion for music was inspired by his father, who served as the choir director at their local church.
As a child, he was moved by musical instruments, which motivated his father to teach him the piano. Afterward, he was introduced to the production software Fruity Loops by a buddy.
