On the floor is a song by the popular American singer, Jennifer Lopez featuring the famous rapper, Pitbull.

For her seventh studio album, Love?, American singer Jennifer Lopez recorded the song “On the Floor” (2011). It was made available by Island Records on February 8, 2011, serving as the album’s debut single and starring American rapper Pitbull.

Pitbull, Gonzalo Hermosa, Ulises Hermosa, Kinnda “Kee” Hamid, AJ Junior, Teddy Sky, Bilal “The Chef” Hajji, RedOne, and the song’s producer wrote “On the Floor.”

It is a pop song with a common time speed of 130 beats per minute that combines techno, Latin, dance-pop, and house music. The song “Ven a Bailar” (English: “Come to Dance”), which Lopez recorded, with extra lyrical contributions by Jimena Romero and Julio Reyes Copello.

Fans had the ability to vote for the music video’s favorite ending while it was being directed by TAJ Stansberry and choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr. The finished video debuted concurrently on Vevo and in the American Idol show from March 3, 2011. It shows the underground club scene in Los Angeles, and among other roles, Lopez plays a “queen of the nightclub.”

The lavishly produced, styled, and choreographed video won praise from critics who thought it best showcased Lopez’s dancing abilities. The best-selling single by a female artist in 2011 was “On the Floor,” which sold over eight million copies globally.
