    Mavin Records has the Apple Music Charts on lockdown with the hit song ‘Overdose’ as it hits number one in Nigeria and charts in six other countries.

    The hit song from Mavin Records ‘Overdose’ is currently dominating the airwaves and the charts as well as it holds a position on the Apple Music Top Songs Charts in seven countries.

    ‘Overdose’ which was released on May 13, 2022, is a Mavin All Stars song that features top acts under the record label which include; Ayra Starr, LadiPoe, Boy Spyce, Magixx, Crayon, and Don Jazzy himself.

    The track hit number one on the Apple Music Nigeria Top 100 Songs Chart in Nigeria today, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, and also holds a position on the charts in 6 other countries.These Countries include:

    Gambia 5

    Ghana 4

    Kenya 18

    Niger 27

    Uganda 13

    Zimbabwe 78

    The song also holds the number 4 position on Spotify’s Top 50 Daily Songs Chart with over 600,000 streams. Its performance and audio clip on YouTube has also amassed a total of 2.4 million streams combined.

    Don Jazzy’s Artist, Rema Becomes 1st Nigerian Artist To Debut 5 TOP Songs On Apple Music

    Mavin Records signed and Don Jazzy’s Artist, Rema is the first ever Nigerian artist to debut five top songs on Apple Music.

    News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 18- year-old also set records on the TRAP charts with songs off his eponymous Extended Play (EP), ‘ Rema ’.

    The songs are ‘Boulevard’, ‘American Love’, ‘Spiderman’, ‘Trap out the Submarine’ and ‘Dumebi’. Rema excitedly shared the news on twitter and instagram @heisrema. He said, “1 kid. Number 1&2 album on @applemusic. 5 songs on the top 100 chart. Number 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9 including 4 trap songs.

    “This has never happened in the history of the Nigerian music industry. Check the statistics, no cap.” On instragam, he wrote, “I feel glad seeing ‘TRAP’ records up the Nigerian charts, the first of its kind and I’m proud to be part of it.

    “It’s a new beginning and I’m ready to fight to the end to solidify this movement! Thank you for accepting my sound, God bless you all,” he said. Rema is a fast rising Nigerian hip hop rapper, Afro beats singer, songwriter, stage performer, recording artist and a model currently signed y both Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and D’Prince’s Jonzing World.

    NAN reports that he was discovered by D’Prince in Benin City who said he saw “star value” in the young singer. Rema’s prominent singles ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Dumebi’ are currently topping charts around the country. (NAN)

    In a recent interview with the PUNCH, korede Bello made it known that he’s a boss on his own and doesn’t need to own a label to become one.

    in his words:

    “I am a boss of my own and I don’t need to prove that to anyone. I also don’t need to prove that by leaving Mavin Records to set up my own label. With Mavin, we are stronger together.”

    The Godwin singer insisted that he was still signed to Mavin Records and had no intention to leave soon. “If you listen to my new song, Mr Vendor, you will know that I’m still with Mavin,”

    When asked if there is any pressure in releasing hits back to back, he added:

    “No, no pressure. By the time you let that pressure in it takes a hold of you”.
