Motorsport is a song by the now defunct American rap trio, Migos.

Rappers Nicki Minaj from Trinidad and Cardi B from the United States are featured on the song “MotorSport” by the American hip-hop group Migos (offset, Takeoff, Quavo). The trio’s third studio album, Culture II, was released on October 27, 2017, and it served as the album’s lead single (2018).

Murda Beatz and Cubeatz produced it, and the producers collaborated with the musicians to write it. It became Migos’ second top 10 single in the nation when it peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Although Offset has previously teamed up with Minaj on London on da Tune’s “No Flag” and with Cardi B on her own track “Lick,” “MotorSport” is the first song that Migos, Minaj, and Cardi B have written together.

It was announced by the radio station Hot 93.7 on October 25, 2017, that a song by Migos, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B would be released two days later.

On October 26, the evening before it was to be released, Migos gave a sneak peek of the song on Powerhouse, a music festival hosted by Power 105.1. The song had its internet debut on October 27 and was made available as a digital download everywhere.

Joe Budden of Everyday Struggle conjectured shortly after the song’s debut that Ye was originally on it and that it was he who actually proposed having Minaj to appear on it. Cardi B and Minaj both disputed the claims that they were making fun of one another in the song.

Cardi B said that “people wouldn’t be satisfied even if [we] was making out” and that “I don’t really have the time,” while Minaj stated that the song was originally just a collaboration between her and Quavo, that she was “in full support of Cardi B’s “MotorSport” feature,” and that “the conspiracy theorists are just so tired.”
